Industry and commerce in Närpes
Närpes is known for its entrepreneurial spirit and many companies. There are about 1400 companies in Närpes today. Närpes is part of Ostrobothnia located on the west coast of Finland and the area shares a common vision of sustainability and the circular economy. Important industries in Närpes and Ostrobothnia are agriculture and forestry. The food industry and associated primary production is another major employer.
